National Children's Dental Health Month

The Importance of Early Orthodontic Care

Every February The American Dental Association, as well as all dental professionals, health care professionals, and educators, gather together to raise awareness for the importance of early treatment, whether it’s dental or orthodontic. Living a healthy lifestyle and maintaining good oral hygiene from a young age helps reduce excess time and money spent on dental health problems and allows for more time doing what makes you happy!

Dr. Saffar strongly supports National Children’s Dental Health Month. He recommends all children visit an orthodontist starting at age 7 for an evaluation to start them on the path towards a healthy smile. This is because the earlier orthodontic issues are found, the easier it is to correct them. Even if orthodontic treatment isn’t necessary at the time, Dr. Saffar and his staff can determine when a patient should start treatment in the future. It is imperative that your children’s teeth are well taken care of; we want them to have a beautiful smile that will last them a lifetime! Consider treatment and dental visits at an early age to prevent future dental problems and promote lifelong healthy habits!
